Call For Submissions

Submissions to Prairie Reader must be original, unpublished work not under consideration for

publication elsewhere. Prairie Reader publishes manuscripts that highlight innovative and research based

practices for literacy instruction in the k-12 classroom. Manuscripts should not exceed 500 words.

Written permission to use any copyrighted material must be obtained beforehand and included in your

submission. Ensure that your references are correct and complete. We require electronic submissions, in

Spring Issue: Reflection Moves Us Forward, Submissions Due: May 11, 2018

May and June are a unique time for educators: We reflect back on the successes and struggles of our past school year as we gaze forward to the next year and all of its possibility. This issue will explore how reflection – as students, teachers, a PLC, a school - drives growth – as readers, writers, thinkers, professionals, humans.
