Get ready to bring out your inner pirate. November 24 at Lincoln Elementary Rika Q will be presenting an introduction to the book we will be doing as our book study which will begin in January. Credit will be offered through VCSU. If you are a PRC member we will cover the cost of the book for you.
Our guru eagle scout Dawson Hertz has been approved to proceed with the Little Free Libraries! Hurrah!!!
We are fortunate to have a junior student from the Jamestown Public Schools who is working to obtain his eagle scout badge by doing a project in association with the PRC. Dawson Hertz has agreed to make 3 outdoor mini library book stations for children to take a book and leave a book. in Jamestown, Kulm, and Barnes County. The exact location and designs for the mini library stations are forth coming. The pictures document the signing of the contract with the Prairie Reading Council to provide for the material cost to make the mini libraries and Dawson to make them to be placed in the various locations. Other pictures are members of PRC September 29th meeting at Louis L'Amour Elementary School in Jamestown.
Summer is a time for teachers to rest and relax, well sometimes. This lovely summer day I have been hanging out inside. After two days of visiting family, I am working on creating this website. There is a learning curve and I have been having to do what I tell students often, learn from your mistakes. I started out without the ability to blog on this site and now after starting over, now I can post.
Might need another break from the screen and the chance to give my eyes a different style and finish the book I am reading.
Okay just a quick post for practice.
